Why Delta Sigma Phi?

Delta Sigma Phi fraternity is a national social/professional fraternity with over 112 years of rich history and tradition.  As a new group which was just re-chartered at the University of Alabama last year, we are making great strides to build our own traditions and establish a lasting legacy at the University.

Within just four years, we have grown to over 60 members. We have already obtained on campus housing. Currently, we call the Sigma Phi Epsilon House home. But in June of 2012 we will be moving to our permanent residence in the old Alpha Tau Omega House! In addition to social events, community service and intramural sports , we also sponsor successful philanthropy events (such as our annual Miss Sorority Row) every year to raise money for charitable organizations.

Why Should You Consider Joining Delta Sig at Alabama?

  • We are a fraternity that does not discriminate on race or ethnicity.  What matters most to us is CHARACTER.

  • Because we are a newer fraternity, there are many opportunities for leadership sooner. You can have a positive influence on the direction and growth of our chapter.

  • Opportunities to meet new people.  You’ll create life-long friendships with men from your chapter and over 60,000 Delta Sigs across the nation.

  • You’ll get to participate in numerous social activities including theme parties, football tailgating, sorority swaps, athletic events, brotherhood retreats, and date nights.

  • We do not tolerate nor allow abuse to our pledges.  We are proud to be an anti-hazing fraternity.

  • Academics are very important to us. We are one of the few fraternities at UA that offers scholarships to its members each fall and spring semester.  New members are also eligible for academic scholarships during their first semester of pledgeship.  (See Scholarships page for more information)

We are looking for quality men who can help us in creating a strong and successful fraternity. If you are interested in being a part of our group or would like more information about us, please respond in the Contact Us page or contact our recruitment chair, Dan Perovich, via email at dsperovich@crimson.ua.edu or Facebook.
